Hiking in the Shenandoah

When the Richmond summer gets a bit too hot and thick, the wife and I head for the nearby Shenandoah mountains where, generally, it is 10-15 degrees cooler.  The gentle mountains and meadows are a perfect place for our dog Winnie to romp around and smell some really amazing things!
